The worst feeling in life is when you have to cancel your pre-planned vacation for which you were waiting for a long time. We all work hard day and night to earn a living but this becomes quite chaotic as well as monotonous. But the CoronaVirus (COVID-19) outbreak has led people to quarantine. People are canceling their vacations, weddings, meetings, travel and any such condition under which they will have to be in a gathering.
Even the government has declared an emergency and has asked people to stay away from social gatherings. Though the travel industry is facing a great loss because of the cancellations that are taking place at a titanic speed. Hotels, airlines, tourist spots, theatres, cinema halls, schools, colleges, and many more places have been shut as the virus is known to be highly contagious. Even my dream of exploring Indonesia was coming true within a month if the Corona Virus threat would not have been started.
Unfortunately, we canceled our Frontier reservations as a precaution is always better than cure. To cancel my reservations with Frontier I went to the official website of Frontier Airlines and looked for the Frontier Airlines Cancellation Policy to know the cancellation fee and the process for cancellations. I gathered the following information from the official website of Frontier Airlines:
Frontier Airlines Cancellation Policy
As per Frontier Airlines Cancellation Policy, if you are making the cancellation within the first 24 hours (one day) after the reservation is made then you are free from the cancellation charge. You just need to be sure that there are at least seven days (a week) left for the flight to take off for this rule to apply. In case you are making the cancellation beyond this stipulated time then you will have to pay the Frontier cancellation fee that will be determined on various factors. Please note that the cancellation fee is based on the destination of the flight, the departure point of the flight, the duration between the cancellation and the departure time of the flight, the type of fare purchased by you, the time of cancellation, the number of seats selected for cancellation, and many such factors.
Frontier Cancellation fee:
- If there are fifty-nine to fourteen (59 to 14) days for the departure of your flight when you make the cancellation then the airline will charge $49 as the cancellation fee according to the Frontier Airlines Cancellation Policy.
- But if there are thirteen to eight (13 to 8) days for the departure of your flight when you make the cancellation then the airline will charge $119 as the cancellation fee according to the Frontier Airlines Cancellation Policy.

As mentioned above, the cancellation fee is based on multiple factors but the fare type purchased by you will have the most influence on this one. WORKS Tickets:
If you made a selection on the Works ticket while making the reservations with Frontier Airlines then you can make cancellations without much hassle. In most cases, the airline will provide maximum refund to the passengers of the Works ticket. In case you made the reservations with the help of your credit card then you will not have to worry about the refund. As soon as you apply for the refund the airline will credit the refund amount in the same bank account with which you made the reservations.
Award Tickets:
If you have the Awards tickets and now wish to cancel the reservations then please note that the airline will charge a cancellation fee for the same. Once you apply for the refund, the amount will be credited in the respective bank account once the cancellation fee is deducted. The remaining amount will be initiated in your account within 5 business days.
No show passengers:
There are some passengers that neither cancel the reservation nor show up for the flight. Under such circumstances, the airline will not be able to help the passenger with any kind of service as well as a refund. Even if you go to the official website of the airline you will not be able to witness the “No show passenger” section as the airline does not entertain such passengers.
